Priscilla Zieltjens

My name is Priscilla Zieltjens and I graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht in March 2020. My interest in poultry arose during my studies. It is a sector in which development continues at a rapid pace and progress is the norm. After graduation I mainly worked in (rearing) parentstock. I have been working at Poultry Practice De Achterhoek since the beginning of 2021. The work as a poultry veterinarian is diverse and specialist. I also like that the application of additional diagnostics and post-mortem research is a unique combination in the veterinary field. In my work I value contact with the farmer. Standing between the chickens in the barn and together with the farmer, rearing supervisor and feed supplier, bring theory and practice together in order to achieve optimal performance and well-being of the flock.
